Michigan’s governor has appointed Kyle Guerrant acting director of the state’s Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB).

DTMB supports Michigan state agency business operations through numerous services including IT, contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, and oversight of state retirement systems.

Guerrant brings to the new position 20 years of experience in state government, most recently as deputy state budget director. Before that, he served as deputy superintendent of finance and operations at the Michigan Department of Education.

Guerrant is set to succeed Michelle Lange in the new position, according to a Jan. 27 announcement  from Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

“At DTMB, Kyle will ensure that state government operations continue smoothly so Michiganders can access the services they rely on,” the governor said.
