Ivy Tech Community College has appointed Sejal Vaishnav chief information officer (CIO) of the Indianapolis-based community college system.
Vaishnav, who is set to begin the new job on March 30, will be overseeing technology strategy, operations, cybersecurity, data, and digital transformation across 19 campuses and more than 40 sites.
She is coming to Ivy Tech after nearly four years at the Illinois Institute of Technology where she served as CIO since August 2023. Before that she was director of information technology at Chicago-Kent College of Law from 2010 to 2022.
“I am honored to join an institution so deeply committed to transforming students’ lives and I look forward to helping strengthen the college’s impact on communities across the state,” Vaishnav said.
She is succeeding Thomas Riebe, who was named interim CIO in January, and who is returning to his prior role as Ivy Tech’s chief technology officer.
“Sejal is an experienced technology leader who understands the complexity of a multi-campus environment,” said Marty Pollio, president of Ivy Tech. “We are thrilled to have her join our team and shape our technology to meet the evolving needs of our institution.”
