Case Western Reserve University launched an new interactive campus map on July 16, providing students, employees, and visitors with real-time shuttle tracking and mobile wayfinding tools.
The university’s University Technology (UTech) office developed the map in partnership with Concept3D, a digital software platform that provides interactive maps, 360-degree virtual tours, and event management tools for physical locations.
UTech provides IT services and round-the-clock technical support for the campus community. Its work also includes information security and artificial intelligence-related services and applications.
The map includes real-time shuttle tracking and coverage of the main campus, University Circle, and the University Farm.
On mobile devices, users can access turn-by-turn directions between buildings and control the routes the platform recommends. The tool is designed to make navigating university facilities and surrounding areas more accessible and convenient.
The map also allows users to filter campus locations by purpose, giving students and visitors a centralized way to locate buildings, services, and other destinations.
Case Western Reserve said it plans to expand the map by adding locations for entrances that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and campus lactation rooms.
The university did not specify when those features will become available.
Users can submit recommendations for future improvements through a feedback link in the map’s title bar.
