Black Girls Code, a nonprofit that prepares young girls and women for careers in technology, announced that it has partnered with Endless Access, a youth-focused game making studio and learning hub, to expand access to its summer program.
The 2026 Summer Camps, which aim to equip young girls with coding and artificial intelligence (AI) skills, will be available across 10 cities and two virtual sessions from June through August 2026, with plans to serve more than 600 campers ages 10 to 17.
“Our camps go beyond coding – they spark creativity and joy, build confidence, and connect girls with a powerful community. Thanks to partners like Endless Access, we’re able to reach more girls with enhanced programs that allow learners not just to interact with real-world technology tools and products, but to build them themselves,” Cristina Mancini, CEO of Black Girls Code, said in a statement.

This year’s theme, “She Won’t Just Play the Game. She’ll Build It,” aims to expose campers to foundational game development and AI concepts through a game design-focused curriculum. According to Black Girls Code, the program will pair coding and AI instruction with hands-on work in storytelling, sound, and gameplay development. Campers will use industry tools to build game assets, including sound effects, narrative elements, skill trees, and gameplay loops. Each participant will present a capstone project at the end of the program.
According to Black Girls Code, the 2026 program will also include leadership development curriculum delivered in partnership with Lean In Girls, a leadership program for girls and young teens.
A typical day for campers will include two coding sessions, a guest speaker or mentor session, and a social session – which could include either leadership development activities or wellness and movement activities.
