The City of Atlanta announced the formation of the Chief Information Officer Advisory Board on April 17. The new board will “work with the City of Atlanta Information Management team to advance the technology strategy of the city,” according to the city.

“This advisory board will serve as a great resource to explore how we can continue to use technology in creative ways to improve our city and leverage our innovative local tech community,” said Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.

The city also announced advisory board members, which it said are “trusted leaders throughout Atlanta who bring knowledge from both private and public sectors to continue propelling the city forward within the technology sector.”

Members include:

  • Eric Anderson, partner at Egon Zehnder;
  • David Cummings, found of Atlanta Tech Village;
  • Cynthia Curry, director of IoT/AI/Smart Cities Ecosystem Expansion at Metro Atlanta Chamber;
  • Martin Davis, CIO of Southern Company;
  • Michael “Mike“ Ebrick, CIO and VP of IT for Chick-fil-A;
  • Jay Ferro, CIO of Quikrete;
  • Roy Hadley, special counsel, Adams and Reese LLP;
  • Bryson Koehler, CTO of Equifax;
  • Danielle McPherson, general manager of Reservations Technology & Digital Transformation at Delta Airlines;
  • Gregory Morrison, CIO of Cox Enterprises;
  • Krishnakumar “KK“ Narayanan, CTO of Delta Air Lines;
  • Phil Ventimiglia, CIO of Georgia State University; and
  • Tye Hayes, CTO for the City of Atlanta.

In a press release, the city said it expects the advisory team to “analyze challenges facing cities in a wide range of content areas to explore how our communities can be more digitally connected and improve the quality of life for residents.”

The board will hold its first meeting in May.
