In 2016, more than 130 police officers were killed in the line of duty in the United States, which is the highest number of fatalities on the job in five years. Every day police officers around the country put themselves in harm’s way; luckily new advancements in technology are helping to reduce deaths and injuries among police.

Bob Zangrillo, a Silicon Valley investor and CEO of Dragon Global, and Tony Cho, a Miami real estate developer and CEO of Metro 1, are hoping to turn Miami’s Little Haiti into Magic City, a 15-acre mixed-use development.

The Miami-Dade Police Department in South Florida is addressing the issue of community relations on two fronts, the implementation of VIEVU body-worn cameras for officers, and a new Community on Patrol app to allow citizens to better connect with police at any time.
